Recently Direct Engineering in partnership with George Leslie Ltd, were asked to construct and install an access Bridge for Scottish Water solutions , This bridge was located across a Reservoir spillway at Upper Cowgill, Abington,

The existing Bridge was to be removed, banking foundations altered to suit new bridge, new bridge installed, all this without damage to surrounding structure, or contamination of water in reservoir.
Due to the remote location of the reservoir, it was not possible to transport this structure from roadway to spillway using motorised transport, as the track from roadway to installation location was unsuitable for size of vehicle needed.  Direct Engineering came up with the unique solution to transport the bridge by use of a helicopter.

This contract was carried out very quickly, in our factory for manufacturing, and on site for installation, and with professionalism, which was appreciated and remarked on by Scottish water solutions.
